Winning Class with traveling trophy

February’s “I Love to Read” Month contest was so much fun!  We all enjoyed getting to “Stop, Drop, and Read”. All of our students can be proud of the effort they put forth. Our Books for Kindles drawing was held on April 5th. The proud winners from the Junior High/High School category are Emalyn Jansen and Valentina Sanguins. The winner from the Preschool-2nd grade category was Gabriel Jones; and the winner from the 3rd-6th grade category was Vivienne Mallo. Thank you to the local Lavina Temple Lodge No. 101 and Billings Phillps Refinery for sponsoring the Kindles and gift cards to Barnes and Nobles that the kids won. To make things interesting, we issued an additional challenge. The staff challenged the Junior High/High School for most books read-the Junior High/High School won! They won an ice cream sundae party along with the class from elementary that read the most books (2nd  and 3rd Grade-Ms. Martin’s class). Staff were recognized as well with Ms. Dodds and Ms. Schwehr winning Starbucks gift cards. Congratulations to everyone! Let's keep reading!
